In this opening hole, preference should be on the left of the fairway to avoid the two bunkers and series of mounds on the right. Further down a pond lurks on the left with swaying coconut palms at its perimeter. A generous green to catch the approach shot. |
A cluster of trees and the OB marker on the left can be intimidating and a drain and two hazards on the right tends to narrow the landing area for the big hitters. The approach shot need to take into consideration the two bunkers guiding the green on the right. |
Although marked Index 1, this does not seem to be the most difficult hole on the course and a review of its index is underway. Picturesque with colourful flowerbeds, golfers have to avoid the hazards on the right and the fairway turns into a bottleneck just before the green which is flanked by bunkers. |
A valley hole where the distance markers may not seem true but a relatively easy hole for low handicappers. Need to head for the pin, failing which the sloping green would result in an uphill putt with undulations along the way. |
The bunker on the right and the short trees on the rough to the left calls for a straight shot. The water hazard encroaches 50 meters from the green requiring a full carry. Over clubbing may land the ball in the sand trap beyond the green. |
Aim towards the tree in the center of the fairway and hope not to hit it nor land behind it. More trees flank the fairway which can cause trouble to wayward shots. The colourful bougainvillas near he longish green adds beauty to the hole. |
Watch out for wind conditions and pin position for a good score on this long par three. The bunkers flanking the green and the two-tiered layout can pose problems to high handicappers. |
Steer clear of the drain that cuts across the fairway about 20 meters after the Ladies’ Tee. Three bunkers on the left and the long bunker on the right can add strokes while the larger green in the course needs close scrutiny during putting. |
The dogleg left hole has a stream running across at the 180 meter mark while the series of mounds on the both sides of the fairway can trouble the stance. The uphill approach shot to an elevated green needs to have enough spin to land and keep it close to the pin. |
The dogleg right hole has water running the entire length on the left while a hill serves as an obstacle to choose the tiger line towards to right. Littered with bunkers the fairway leads to a huge green which is fairly flat. |
The shortest par three on the course has a lake protruding into the fairway which can be intimidating for some while bunkers flanking the green tend to gobble up wayward shots. Accurate shots to the pin is a must for a low score. |
An exciting hole to play with the tee shot needing to head over water to a large landing area although balls veering right may find another pond lurking while the OB marker is not too far away. The second shot has to clear the drain that runs across the fairway between the 150 and 100 meter markers. Hazards on both sides poses problems. |
A tough hole with the border fence running all the way on the right and the hazard creeping into the fairway on the left. Safe play with irons and fairway woods may be the secret to a low score. |
A scenic hole with a view of the rolling hills and hazards on both sides emerging just after the tee box calling for a conservative tee shot and an accurate approach shot to a small green guarded by two bunkers. |
A snaky hole with mounds on the left and an undulating fairway. A stream cuts across the fairway at the 300 meter mark while a series of bunkers are on the left. A pond on the right adds to the difficulties requiring some safe shots to the green. |
Pond on the left and bunker on the right calls for a fairway splitting shot from the tee box in this dogleg left hole. The fairway narrows as it approaches the green. A three-toe paw print like bunker on the right is set to swallow shots that misses the green. |
Surrounded by deep bunkers and water coming into play from the left and closing in on the ladies’ tee box. The uphill long par three could be a toss between a driver and three-wood for the high handicappers while long irons would be the order of the day for others. The smallish sloping green needs careful steadying before lining the putt. |
A challenging closing hole which is tough to hit on regulation because of its uphill layout while two bunkers side by side on the right can add to the strokes. The elevated green calls for a lofted shot to seek the pin. |
