A nice course for holiday golf! We took out clubs to Langkawi and were happy to play twice at Gunung Raya Golf Club. It’s probably not the most challenging course for serious golfers, but for holiday golfers like us it was great – we didn’t feel rushed, the fairways were quite wide and the buggies made the heat bearable. We saved £50 by playing twice – this was available if you booked directly with the golf club so worth doing. There’s a nice cafe at the end with tuna sandwiches and chips available!

Picturesque and well maintained golf course. Lush, green course with beautiful mountain views. Green fees, buggy hire, and golf club hire for around $ 300 Australian dollars for 2 people. Only encountered 2 other groups on Sunday we played! Fairways well maintained though greens ? had been recently sanded. Back nine trickier than front , with more water hazards. An enjoyable and relaxing round!

The golf course at Gunung Raya Golf Resort has improved tremendously with a very creative layout design at all 18 holes. The greens and fairways are well maintained. The rough is challenging for average-skill golfers. Dining and drinking at the Golfer’s Terrace overlooking the golf course will bring you an enjoyable and mesmerizing experience. Cafeteria serves delicious local cuisine which is truly Malaysian food at reasonable price and beers at duty-free price.

The Gunung Raya Golf Resort is a very scenic, with a backdrop of tropical forest, elegant mountains and pretty lakes. It is well designed, fit for professional golf competition, a little hard to play for the amateurs. The course is well maintained, the green is slow. But in general, the course is pristine in architectural design. The club house is modest and the staffs are friendly.
